Default Thursday afternoon Nanticoke/Hooper Straights

Fished for 3 hours yesterday afternoon at the tail end of the incoming. Started in the Nanticoke trolling the banks. 3 bites, 3 tiney rockfish. Picked up and ran out Hooper Straights to find the birds. Took a little lookin, but found um up around the Honga. All the 3 - 4lb bluefish you wanted. They were just layin the wood to the piles of bait runnin for their lives. Had 1 knot of bait hide under the boat while the water around was boiling. If you could get a bait under the blues there were some 18" - 20" rockfish to be had. Cant believe the bluefish are still here in force. Usually the rivers this time of year are full of fat 18 - 24" fish. Not yet...
