There was a lot of boats out in the EEZ - plus trawlers off NC beaches.
If you saw the dock pictures from Va beach and NC - there were a lot of big 30 to 50 lbers hanging up.
Hope I'm wrong but there are only so many big Rock around. We can not keep killing them and think it will not impact the population.
There has been a steady decline in numbers the past 3 years.
