It's been in the water long enough now that you can see it's full of algae and rope may have slipped right off.
Personally, I can't imagine why DNR hasn't marked the spot with a marker over the years. I have been boating out of the Bodkin for about 20 years and I have personally watched several boats running at planning speeds come to a very abrupt stop. Heaven only knows how many lower units are down there .
If you mark it with a jug; it will only get moved by the crabbers. Gary, YES, and yes. Always, bring a Chardonay on the boat.
