Default Caught a Blue in brackish water today....

My son and I have a small 10' boat that's perfect for ponds or putting around the upper reaches of rivers and creeks.

Today we went way back in the Little Magothy River which is fed by natural springs and runoff. I've caught Pickerel, White and Yellow Perch, Bluegill, Redear, catfish, Rockfish and Pumpkinseed back there.

But today, a feisty 13" Blue decided to hit my tiny little lure.

I haven't encountered ANY Blues out in the bay yet (been fishing north of the Magothy) so it seems really weird to find this one so far upstream. I guess the lack of rain has gotten even the uppermost areas of the rivers and creeks saltier than usual.

My son caught an 11.5 inch White Perch.....getting closer to that citation.
