Not sure if it is true - heard the fresh water run off is why the " snot " has not been bad this spring.
What ever the reason - nice when lures stay clean for 5-6 hours.
I have had a little bit of snot on my two deeper lines that run approx. 25 to 30 feet deep.
Everything else - knock on wood - has been clean. Been below Breezy all spring due to dirty water off Annapolis.
