I've made sets from Azec and other poly type materials ( man made wood ).
They work fine but are much more expensive then wood - almost double. The saw dust is awful as it gathers a static charge and clings to everything.
My only concern is the material is white and since it does not require paint - might be left as is and tough for others to see on choppy days.
There are special spray paints for plastics that might be the ticket.
