Cool Trolling again - 5/28 - south of Thomas Point

Jigging has been so good that I haven't trolled past several trips, so that was the plan again... even left boards at the dock. My 10-year old wanted to jig and bottom fish. After 1.5 hours looking for fish to jig with no luck, he said he wanted to troll. Slow pick from 9-1 trolling 10 boat rods... the 10th rod, a 2/3 white BP tandem back 135ft got the first fish, a nice 31 incher. We ended up with 2 overs, 5 unders, 3 shorts, and 6 perch, mostly 10-11". 33-40' was best until Greg called us out to 60' and we caught last 2 fish. My usual spot... other than sailboats, mostly had the area to ourselves. Spotted the perch on the fish finder while running home in 37', so thick I thought they were small rockfish, but the stingsilvers were pulling up only perch... 1st one was nearly 12"! Put out bottom rigs with bloodworms but stingsilvers were more effective with these big perch.
