It was a great day on the water. Only marks we saw were deep also. Just wanted to do a shakedown cruise but couldn't help but put six rods over (with stingers and barbs) to check out the motor at trolling speed.
Coming up Ritchie Hyway with the boat; the truck just died. Drifted to the side of the road and she just wouldn't turn over again for me. Called a fishing buddy who was on his way home from work and he towed the boat home for me. I returned to the truck and still not turning over. Towed to Bob Bell Ford and we will see what they say tomorrow (fuel pump maybe).
I always told my kids when they were growing up, "if money can fix the problem, it's not that bad".
It's going to rain the next couple days, so I should be back on track for next week.
We started trolling March 17th last year (and catching), but I just couldn't pass up a day like today.
Good to see Greg and his crew out there today. Not much bait, fish, or birds
working anywhere today.
Best of luck to Mark (Mlag) tomorrow. If anyone can find them, he can.
