Default Tuesday on the struggle bus....

Did a fundraiser for families of police officers killed in the line of duty this afternoon. Pick up at Red Eye's between 12-1 so get there at 11:45. Fish a little on the way down but all were shorts. Found some breakers just as we had to pick up to get to the pick up point.
Party was "late" for us- got there at almost 1. Ran back to the breakers to find no one home. Went further north to my normal haunts and there weren't a ton of chummers out for a change. Heard the bite turned off (or they were all caught). Managed to squeak out a 23" and a 26" on #17 spoons and that was it for the afternoon. It was a nice day and the temps were tolerable. Once the tide and wind got together it was actually pleasant..... most of the time.
The crew was kind enough to have the "even a bad day of fishin" mindset so all was good. Mostly Hartford County Corrections officers and a DNR officer made up my crew. All nice folks but I hope to only ever see them again in social situations
