Thumbs up Awesome fishing before and during the snowstorm

Still plenty of fish close to home... And despite popular belief that the fish are all on the western edge of channel in 35-45' of water on the bottom... I have found otherwise, catching plenty of overs off the boards, sometimes only 70' back with 8oz... In 75-130' of water. Also catching on deep rods in deep water.

Friday afternoon was glorious flat water and good trolling bite... When it did get slow we got a call that jigging bite was on a few miles south of us. Our big crew got the 22 lines in in 22 minutes... Never knew that was possible... And we got to the birds and breakers while it was still on and quickly finished our limit with mid to upper 20's fish and released several, too. We had 4 fish hooked up on jigs at the same time at one point.

Saturday morning started with flat water and light flurries. We found birds and breakers just 15 minutes after we finished setting out 18 lines, and had our limit+ up to 29" by 815am, leaving one slot open for BUBBA. Released a few more upper 20's fish before the wind came up strong gusting to 25mph. We quickly brought lines in as the howling wind and heavy snow reduced visibility to less than quarter mile and froze our hands. Nice to get back in the pilot house with the buddy heater running for the slow ride home into 2-3 foot seas.

With the great fishing close to home, hoping to keep at it until the season ends.
