John Allmand...don't hear that name too much. Back in the 70s I bought my grandfather's 28' John Allmand Sport Fisher and kept it on the Rhode. Sweet boat...twin 255 merc commanders, 200 gal gas tank, 100 gal fresh water, a/c, generator, frig, yada yada. Now that sucker could burn some fuel but at less than a buck a gal it was tolerable
