I was looking at that type but was concerned about the strength. You have them through bolted right, not just screws into the fiberglass?
Maybe they are stronger then they look.

I have fished a number of times with Mark. I had the same concern about those rod holders he has along his stern. But I have seen plenty of large fish hooked up on rods that sit in those holders. At this point, I see them as being just as sturdy as any of his other rod holders. I won't comment on his T-Top rod holders as I want to be invited back
