Yesterday 72* yesterday morning (5am); today 79* at 5am
Jason was fortunate enough to clue me in on a hot bite. Last two days, we have had breaking fish up to 23 inches on topwater and metal jigs. Maybe a 10/1 ratio of keepers to shorts, but still lots of pullage.
Yesterday limit by 8am (fished until 9:30). Today, we had our limit by about the same time (fished until 10). It was getting hot, the ride home with windows open felt good
Back at the dock, the guys cleaned fish while I cleaned the boat. At least I got to play in the hose
Fish all cleaned and back home eating lunch by noon
I can't give away Jason's spot, but it won't be a secret much longer.
A good network of friends is more important than all the fishing/weather apps I have on my phone.
Probably not out again until next week, maybe the heat will break.
