Almost all of the ones sold around here are made by the same 2 or 3 companies and unfortunately they all seem pretty flimsy.
I used to put a 3 ounce weight under the bait to help the trap sink faster and hopefully with a better chance of the sides all falling where they should.
Can't say that it definitely helped, but I'm sure it didn't hurt either.
