Default South is where it's at !!

Last week we were hammering them right outside by 82. Easy ride out, lines in by 6am and pretty much done by 8 or 9am. Got the word on Thurs of a hot bite down by 78. Spent the last three days between the PP and Parkers Creek. We did NOT downsize based on our intelligence and continued using the boards. The big fish were a little deeper so we lengthened the dropback to 7 0r 8 bars and put out weighed board rods. Tandems off the boards caught well with the larger lure being hit each time. All the rods caught with 90% coming on Fish-Nut's sparkle chutes. White or Green didn't matter much, I just needed those chutes!
My smallest "under" all weekend was 25"! Friday's largest was 41", Saturday - 40" and Yesterday we had a 42" All fish were caught between 40 and 75' on the western side of the channel.(Eastern side is a MINEFIELD of crab pots!!!) No jellies at all !! We are fishing again tomorrow and will stick with the big stuff until the weekend, these fish are headed south fast. Friends have fished the river with down-sized lures and no boards and did very well but nothing over 25" (lots of 19's ) We will see what developes.
