As a side note I have a friend who would fish just fine and catch fish all the time and then one spring he was skunked EVERY time. I asked about his spread and speed ,, all seemed fine. Until, I went on his boat on a HH trip that summer. I kept getting small shocks when reaching into the water.
Well long and short is he had a ground fault running through his motor!! Had that fixed and he is back on the fish.
