I was at the dock cleaning the boat. I had to get all the "Deale Dirt" out of the non-skid on the roof, front deck, and gunnels.
Mike approached the marina in a nonchalant no big deal manner and slid his boat into the slip like a seasoned captain.
I kept cleaning my boat, waved, and paid him a greeting. After he was all tied up, they took the cooler off the boat and Mike says, "Hey Marty, come take a look at these fish."
When they opened the cooler, the nice 30+ inch fish were sitting on top
What a haul
Congratulations Mike. I'm not sure if I was the most happy to see you with such nice fish, or see you standing behind the wheel of your boat. I'm glad you got out and were so successful.
I asked how his leg felt, and he said, "It's hurting."
I know he had to be sore after just undergoing another procedure to remove some scar tissue. But; the fact that he still put together a trip, and was so successful, shows me that all of us should be on the water more frequently.
Get out while the charters still leave us a few nice fish. Good Job Mike
