Got to my parents house this morning around 5:30AM and finished loading the boat. Left there house in Severn by 5:50AM and made it too Solomons by 7:10AM. Transferred everything out of the truck and put up the enclosure on the boat. Sure was nice to have a full enclosure with the Mr Buddy going this morning. Starting setting out the spread while my mom drove the boat, luckily nobody was around
. My Dad and I each took a side. While I was putting out the first planer board rod on my side I had placed the rod in the rod holder while I got a scotty clip. Next thing I know I hear a drag go off. Since my mom has not been trolling with us before (loves fishing but not this time of year) we let her real in the first fish. She reeled in a fat 35 incher. We set a few more rods out and one of my dads rods got hit while setting it out, he reeled in a 34 incher. We already have two in the box and have only half our spread deployed. Finally got the rest of our spread out and a few minutes later I was reeling in a fat 39 incher. It was 8:45AM and we had our limit of overs, fished a little longer and picked up a 26 and 27.5. We had more then enough fish and called it an early day. Got back to the ramp and was greeted by DNR. After a quick check of our fish, registration and safety equipment we loaded up the boat. It was a great day to be out on the water, wish the season went till the end on the month here. If the weather holds out might try to go to PLO or might try fishing the bridge for some white perch. Here are a few pics from today.
