A report ?
Went out for a evening trip on the upper bay on Wednesday. Once we cleared bodkin creek headed due east out to channel and began looking around on the meter and in the air for anything to possibly stop on and jig. The bottom and sky was dead. With the exception of the churning engine noise of a passing roro it was earily quiet. We finally came across some decent marks and stopped and jogged them. Dale pulled one out of the bunch but a dink. When I say dink I mean smaller than the metal jig he was using. Spotted a bunch of boats up off Ft. Howard up in patapsco and we made a decision to run up and see what was going on. When we arrived the meter was lit up, fish everywhere in 13'-19'. Decision was made to deploy quick four rod spread of small tandem white ruby lip bucktails. Before we could get two lines in the water first rod a double of 22"-23" and before we could clear the deck other rod goes down with another double 24"-27"! We could not keep lines in the water without being hit as soon as lures touched bottom. Action only lasted a few minutes as we were losing the incoming tide, but fun while it lasted! Final count was 15 fish and all would have been keepers had we not gotten limit on first pass!
