Holy Crap !

Anybody know what the bait was ?

So we have confirmed black drum (although very small off of Fort Smallwood) and this monster just south of the bridge....Could be a really good year !

No word on what was used. There were several reports of smaller drum being taken on jigs near, but still south of the BB too.

I understand, talking to a very knowledgeable bay fisherman, that there is quite probably a layer of very salty water under the the top less saline water and this could account for the drum and the tremendous numbers of fingerling croaker showing up all the way into the Patapsco.

In fact, I'm told that the NRP has been checking a few livewells because some people have been using them to liveline.

There are Black Drum caught above the Bay Bridge every year. Not many as most are concentrated at the Stone Rock and James Island...........Gary
