South River 11/3/14

Got out this afternoon on the river for a couple hours.

Birds sitting everywhere waiting..Looked around but did not find what I was looking for..

Ran out towards buoy 1 ( WR1) nothing doing. Trolled around for a while and came back into

River. I should never have left..

Started catching immediately, couple of shorts first then got a fat 24".

I found a school pushing bait into the shallows. 15' to 6'.

Had been using planers #1 and #2 s. Bucktails with white curly worms got hit most.

Put trolling gear away and jigged the worms on a 1/2 Oz head.

We got them jigging to 27".

Got a better grade of fish after birds and other boats moved away.

Got a good drift going along the drop off ..nice to see them on the finder and tell the

guys get ready and it was on.

Congrats on some nice fish Jimmy. Hopefully after Saturday I can post a decent report from the upper bay.

Thanks for report. I trolled all day Monday to get two fish and on way home got our last two jigging in the South in 10 minutes. Could saved a lot of gas.
