Default Anybody planning to go out on Monday ?

I am sure a lot of us are off on Monday, just wondering if anyone was heading out...Should be on the colder side, but not bad...Winds look, ok, not great right now....

I was planning to try off PLO but canceled as winds now look bad.

Forecast off Smith Point area is south at 10-15 until about 10:00 - then increasing as day wears on. That will mean 3-4 foot seas - fishable but not fun.

We were listening to the radio last Tursday and they were calling for small craft warnings and gusts up to 20mph.

Boy were they wrong!

Of course you have to base your 4 hour round trip on the best available info and not just a "Well they were wrong before so let's hope for the best."

I put a lot of faith in the CBOFS predictions - much more then NOAA.

Winds from south or north are bad news. Even a few degrees of west really breaks the waves up but a due south or north wind gets a long push and builds the waves - especially near PLO.

That wind from the south has been a pain in the, you know what for the last year....Last spring those southern winds were horrible...

Friday is starting to look better...

I need to get out sometime soon...Football is fun to watch and all but it is no fishing..
