Well, I wanted to get Mike (Garlien) out on the new boat
. He has been doing fairly well lately, and I needed to see where and how
.
We didn't leave the dock until 4:30pm and we ran to Mike's spot. We put over three light tackle trolling rods and picked up a close, but still under size rock. The next rock was about 21 inches and a nice fight on LT.
We had another hit, but quick release
. The third fish that came over the side was a decent size PERCH
.
We had a couple beers, and a pleasant evening. By the way, DNR was out checking everybody (except us). They went from boat to boat and spent some time with each one, which leads me to believe they were looking for more than just lifejackets. They probable were going through the whole list. We were one of the largest boats out there, so maybe they were only concentrating on the smaller craft.
We came back in after dark and flushed the motor (glad the water was still on at the pier). All in all, a good evening with friends. Thanks Mike for the "instructions", let's do it again soon.
