Don't overlook "naked shads" I have been using 6" tsunami golden mullet threaded on a 1 1/4oz Spankin Striper jig head with big glass eyes. They have caught some of the larger fish this summer as well as some big spring time fish. You can use them stand alone or they are also deadly on a stormbrella run deep. You can order the tsunamis in a 25 pack for about $28.00. Cheaper than pre- rigged baits.
