Good advice. I haven't looked at it yet; I was just told that she and her son couldn't get anyone to look at it.

For all I know they might not be turning the choke on or something else simple.....but they swear they know how to start it.

If you look at it - an old school trick is to use 1-2 shots of starting fluid to see if it will run.

You do not want to use it more then 1-2 times. Just enough to hear it run a second or two.

The idea is to rule out everything except fuel.

I've rescued a few engines with nothing more then a new spark plug and new fuel. Guys tried for hours but old fuel was sour and old plug was fouled.
