I'm not much of a poster, but, sometimes you just have to share...
Was thinking about using the weather today to winterize a bunch of the systems on the boat, what a waste that would have been. Loaded the gear and rolled out of the Magothy about 10am. Flat water, pretty day...
After the no wake, ran out toward the Baltimore Light, slowed down and started putting rigs in the water. Got six of nine rods in the water and two went down. Lost one, but, boated a daily double. Yeah, two fish on one tandem rig!
Turned around and tripled up, couple more mid 20's fish and one 30 incher on the WWB with a little swimbait, no time for photos!
Turned around again, got eight of nine rods in the water and six of them went down. What do you do when you have three anglers, two of which are ten and younger and you have six fish on. Pretty much you wind up catching two! Again, no time for photos!
For real, turned around, tripled up again, got two singles (mid 20 inch fish) and another daily double! Yes, they both came on the same tandem.
I think at this point we had really been fishing for a little over an hour. For the next couple hours it really just did not stop. All told, the kids told me we caught about 20 fish, I lost count. Headed home when I ran out of planer board clips! Never had that happen before. Took this photo after I had already thrown a handful in the sink for a rinse!
We had put two in the box, but one later on in the day was gut hooked so we kept a third. Bonus for the neighbors
Rockfish bites were great, grilled some as well, only a few left over which were gobbled up a little later.
Kids declared the fishing "epic" today!
