Thanks Jeff, martini's really aren't for me; but be sure to keep that pinky finger extended while you drink yours
The Voodoo sounds interesting. I'm headed to "The Shark" in Ocean City for New Years Eve dinner with the wife and want to order a decent drink with my meal. Maybe I'll just go with a classic; champagne.

Mark; we are just going to be there thursday night for news years eve and new years day. We have friends with a condo who invited us down for a couple of days, but if we only spend one night, that gives them some time alone as well.
Sorry we will miss you at The Shark. Great food!!
They may have to wheel me out after trying 151/coke, Voodoo, chocolate martini, capt morgan/monster drink, and champagne

p.s.
I was tempted to send the wife home by herself and staying down and fishing with Greg; but I thought that would start the new year off on the wrong foot

Drinks
I was a party on Xmas Eve and had some roasted pecan whiskey, it was so smooth you could drink it straight, but I had it with ginger.
I like crown and 7 w/lemon, and really dig Jack and Fresca for something light and refreshing. Just had a Lime gimlet in Annapolis a couple of weeks ago that was awesome but couldn't drink too many because of the sour sweetness.
Happy New Year everyone!!
John

I would have bet money that Jeff was gonna recommend Peppermint vodka on the rocks. Good thing I didn't. I am not any help with this. My drinks are CL Smooths, Vodka, Rum & Coke or Bourbon on the rocks. Sometimes i will hit the apple pie shine.

I wanted to recommend the Smirnoff Peppermint but it is TOO TOUGH to find. I got the last bottle they had in a liquor store in Elkton today. Another store didn't carry it. The local stores here don't have it. I'm down to only 6 bottles left and 2 of them will go tomorrow I'm thinking

Everyone knows I am a sucker for a rum and fruit drink in the summer....And I have no problem saying yes to an offer of beer at anytime, however, like MartyI tend to switch in the fall...
Bourbon is my fall drink and while Jack and Coke have been a long time favorite and whiskey sours with seagrams 7....I have turned to a new favorite over the last year...
No ice, just neat....All are amazing....
Woodford Reserve - Standard and Double Oak
Hancock Reserve
Angels Envy
and my all time favorite....
Four Roses Single Barrel.
All of you should try the Four Roses Single Barrel, smoothest bourbon ever...

My wife gave up on me and new year's a few years ago. For a few years in a row, I fished with Skip at PLO. The first year, I told my wife I would be home in time to go out to dinner. I ended up calling her about 6 as we passed Solomon's and Skip just shook his head and laughed. The next year, we decided "to just play it by ear and see what happens". The third year, she said "just call when you get close and I'll get carryout".
This year, the weather won and I am going down Sunday instead.
