Normal year as far as fish distribution is concerned but fewer fish overall. The snow melted nice and slow and we have not had any cold rains yet. The temps in the Susky flats are already 48 in one location. The CBBT was 46 and close to shore the temps at Nags Head were up to 49.

The big fish took a pounding in the EEZ in NC like they have not taken is years. Most guys in MD cannot comprehend what is going on down there in winter. They have not seen the miles and miles of 10 to 20 pound discards floating on top and totally wasted. When described there is just a big yawn. Most fishermen are very parochial.
