Default just a quick "hello"

No, I haven't fallen off the face of the Earth or given up on my quest to actually catch a decent fish.....I've just been away on vacation. I saw the posting for the kids tourney this weekend at Downs so I'll ask my 12 y/o daughter to see if she wants to go....so if you guys see some old coot with a little redhead, come over and say hi.

Otherwise, we'll probably go out and try to get a couple fish in the boat. I did manage to catch two fish just before leaving on vacation on the 1st....two tiny white perch...I mean TINY, about 4" long....screwy thing about it was that I was actually happy that I finally caught anything with a heartbeat<LOL>!!

Ah well, still trying,

erad,
Take Mlag up on his offer.

You and your daughter will be tired of catchin' fish. Mark is a great fisherman. You will learn a lot and have a great time with one of the best.

No doubt that you should take Mark up on the offer, he is one of the best out there.

Mark(and others)

I really appreciate the offer but my daughter is away with her mom in Myrtle beach till the 24th and I have to work during the day...like the rest of the world. It's VERY nice to recieve such a decent offer from someone that I don't even know (YET)and I appreciate the support from everyone here since I've joined.

The funny thing is that I grew up on the Magothy and never really had any problems catching fish....but I've been in the deepest rut since I bought the boat. My baby (finace`) and I went out last Friday evening for a while but we weren't seriously fishing, just a little plinking off of Downs park. The rest of the weekend was filled with getting a '70 H1 triple ready to go up on fleabay(posted it lastnight) and taking my finace`, oldest daughter, her husband, my son and grandson out for the day yesterday for a ride.

I hope to get back to some serious attempts at fishing later this week in the evening and this coming weekend early in the morning.

Let me ask while I'm here...Is there any point to trying in the evening?

Erad, I go out on the Magothy in the evenings for a ride on the pwc, very few boats out, and I see a lot of bait and mark quite a few fish. One of these times I need to take a rod with me.

My baby and I went out lastnight, at least for as long as I could get her to stay out before the skies bunched up. On the way out I told her I wanted to stay within 15 minutes of the inlet to the Magothy in case the storms came up quickly....my mistake, it scared the heck out of her...so I fished while she sat, eyes glued the the West<LOL>. We rolled back in around 6 and timed it perfectly....just put the cover on when whoosh...the clouds passed over and only droped about 10 raindrops!! <LOL>

didn't catch anything but I see that someone has had mercy on me and put some tips in my inbox...I'll be following those next time I get out and will let you'all know how I faired....
