Question Fishing Trip Donation ?

I was thinking about donating a "day of fishing" on the bay for a silent auction fundraiser. So I was wondering if this is legal without a captains license? Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

I have no idea. Maybe Skip can jump in here and tell you how they handle the "Wish a Fish" events. I don't know if the families sign a waver.

Good question. 5th (Marty)

I've donated trips to MSSA and CCA.
I was up front that it is a private boat - no one had trouble with that.
I called my insurance company - they were OK with it since I was not paid/reimbursed.

Only trouble I had was the pressure to get the folks fish. Worked out that we caught but still tough on the nerves.
