Default Fished on the "Wild Goose" today

Booked through Loosen' Up Charters and ended up on The Wild Goose out of Deale.

We motored down off of Breezy Point this morning and hit an undersized fish within 3 minutes.

Trolled 9 big umbrella rigs all day at around 20 ft deep in 25 to 40 feet of water.

We caught our 16 fish limit by 11am and we ended up throwing back about a dozen undersized fish throughout the morning.. Biggest fish today was 31 inches I think with a few pushing 25 inches. Most fell into the 19 to 23 inch range.

About 13 to 15 other boats had the same idea and were trolling around us by 9am.

Good captain and a good mate named Smitty. Thanks for a good day fellas.

Just curious....how did they rig their big umbrellas for this time of year? I use the normal white or yellow 6" shads as teasers and then a pair of storms, tsunamis, calcuttas or panther martins on 15-18" leaders.....Don

That's exactly how they were rigged, which seems like enormous bait for a bass fisherman like me.

Might have been chartreuse Storms on the leaders. 5" maybe? Not sure about that.

And when you have like 9 rods out, it seems even crazier.

No eels, just the spread mentioned above.
