Default Mid Bay 12/11 51''

I didn't make it out as I went to our first Christmas Parade as a family since my daughter will be two in Feburary. My friend however made it out to the mid bay area where he got this baby. I don't know the weight or if it was off the boards but he told me it was 51''. I am done for the season around here but have been getting geared up for the tunnel. My friends and I start heading there in about a week. Will have plenty of jigs ready

That's a fish of a lifetime. My best is 43" but the best on my boat is 47". I'm looking for that magic 50" mark.

and people are afraid of the shark - makes you think twice about letting kids swim in the bay with fish like that out there! something like that could swallow you whole. much safer to take them out fishing.

Tell your friend congratulations for me.

Jealously,

Damn,

I am with Marty...My biggest was 46" but not from the Chesapeake, from Montauck...Otherwise in homewaters I have been stuck in the 30's for years...

That cant be 51" it looks a lot closer to 60"....Anyone confirm that measurement ? Nice job...

Killin me since the boat is now out of the water....
