Default Cruise ships out of Baltimore

I'll be on the Carnival Pride this afternoon going down the bay. Will return next Sunday morning.
I realize the Ravens game starts when we set sail but if there are any anglers out there I'll be taking photos of any close enough for a good pic.
Hoping for some good sun light.

Have a great trip Jeff. Garlien and I almost made it out ther ethis afternoon but something came up for me. We've seen that boat going up and down the bay quite often. It looks AWESOME at night.

Jeff,

I am guessing that I was one of the only power boats you saw out there, north of the bridge...I was trying to fight that ridiculous wind on the west side....Finally gave up and when perch fishin back in the Creek...At least I wasnt skunked !

Had a CG escort all the way out.
Have we gotten to the point that a gunner is really needed?
They ran between our ship and any boats that were on plane near us. Looks like that they asked/forced them to slow to to 6 knots +/- until we passed.

We did go by a tug towing but the CG didn't even approach them.
If someone really wanted to do damage to the cruise ship, they could have used that and literally carried a barge load of explosives, (or in the tug itself) ran next to us and blew it up.
Maybe it was inspected prior to leaving?
All other ports we were in, during this cruise and other trips, I have never seen a gunner on the bow of a CG or Port Authority Boat.

Video of them running along side us. Click on the image.
When we got past the Bay Bridge after sunset, it was ROUGH and that RIB was taking a pounding.
There wasn't enough light for a good photo.
He ended up falling in behind the ship where it was much smoother for them.
It takes about 9 hours to get out of the bay.

When approaching the Bay Bridge there was a cargo ship on the south side. From a distance, at first, it looked like they were waiting for us to pass under the bridge and we would go by port to port.
They were actually underway, they crossed in front of us and we past each other starboard to starboard.....UNDER the bridge!!!
From a distance there doesn't seem to be enough room for two ships of that size! but there was plenty of room for the ships....but no room for mistakes!!

Great pictures!!!! I hope you had a terrific cruise, and you're ready to get back into some fishing!

That CG boat showed up at Bumperbash this year, complete with the bow mounted heavy machine gun. A little overkill for a bunch of redneck partiers.

Maybe they were shadowing your cruise just to get some training time?

Whenever we go I try to go on a bottom fishing trip. Anything smaller, like a personal guide would be way too expensive.

In Freeport I booked some time on the Hooked Up. Didn't have to go too far to get to the break line down there.
Fishing clear water like they have when compared to the Chesapeake Hot Chocolate.....well there is no comparison.
