Default Wireless transducer for Garmin 4212

Hi Jim
Purchased my Garmin in from you in 07 and is working great.
I was wondering if there is a wireless transducer I can add to gain info on water speed and water temp. At the time there was no way to monitor engine performance on my twin 8 HP Yamaha Outboards on the Garmin 4212 and you mention there may be something available in the future.
Thanks
Jim S

There is still nothing off the shelf for your 8HP Yamaha. You could probably make something work but you're talking hundreds of dollars and a rough trial/error period.

No wireless ducers either. I don't think we'll see wireless ducers until we can somehow figure out a way to "beam" power to something. There are wireless sensors for above the waterline but they use the sun for power.
