Default Cell phone bite

Went out Saturday with the plan of finding some fish to jig. Found scattered fish but no takers. Received a call from a friend that was slinging snot and was told nite was hot and to get there ASAP. Pulled up beside them and got some bait from them and the whole crew were hooked up. Anchored beside them and bite was on immediately! We were catching fish up to 35” with many over 30” releases. Was the first time I can remember getting so many overs and having hard time getting the unders. Managed a limit in about a hour and headed for the barn.

I was at the dock cleaning the boat. I had to get all the "Deale Dirt" out of the non-skid on the roof, front deck, and gunnels.
Mike approached the marina in a nonchalant no big deal manner and slid his boat into the slip like a seasoned captain.
I kept cleaning my boat, waved, and paid him a greeting. After he was all tied up, they took the cooler off the boat and Mike says, "Hey Marty, come take a look at these fish."
When they opened the cooler, the nice 30+ inch fish were sitting on top What a haul

Congratulations Mike. I'm not sure if I was the most happy to see you with such nice fish, or see you standing behind the wheel of your boat. I'm glad you got out and were so successful.
I asked how his leg felt, and he said, "It's hurting."

I know he had to be sore after just undergoing another procedure to remove some scar tissue. But; the fact that he still put together a trip, and was so successful, shows me that all of us should be on the water more frequently.

Get out while the charters still leave us a few nice fish. Good Job Mike

Maybe that’s what they mean by “no pain, no gain”? Suck it up, power thru the pain, and you will be rewarded with a box full of quality fish....????
Now that would make it a LOT more worthwhile than going to the Gym for a lousy 6-pack!!!

Well done Capt!!!! Glad to hear you’re getting out fishing some.
