Default Monday report Solomon's

Couldn't pass up a good weather window.
Condition on the bay were nice light winds.
Left the docks around 6:30 headed south near the target/ HI light.
Not to many marks on the screen most bait seams to be sporadic pods. Set out a small spread. Roughly 8:30 a nice knock down 50' off the boards came tight. Nice fish hit a tandem 8oz /6oz. Trolled until 1:00 with one more knock down on a roof rod which came unbuttoned. Racked rods headed for the barn in much better shape than Saturday. Nice day on the bay. I probably only saw 7 boats all day down south fishing. Slow bite.

Good luck gang

I'll be back at it once the rain stops.

5 " +. What's that going to do to bay conditions.

Nice seeing you last night Rob! I will be down south with you this weekend. I fear getting under the bridge in CB with my radar and dont want to fish the mud pie of the Annapolis area so gonna take my chances down there.

You know what 4-5 inches of rain in two days will do.

I'll bet the mud goes to Ches. Beach - perhaps even farther.

Guess we'll just have to find a way to fish under the mess on top...the fish have to be in the water somewhere and I doubt they'll all retreat to below CB...

Skip--how deep in the column do you figure the mud will be?

Ed - tough question.

If you go out - turn fish finder gain way up. It will be all clutter but look for a line from 5-20 feet down.

That will be the break - below it should be clearer water. It will vary up / down in places due to current / wind mixing it up.

Thanks Skip...

Phil and I aren't fishing the tournament, but my son is coming down from Philly and he's never hooked a trophy, so I'd like to give him a decent chance.

I fished just below you on Monday at HS buoy with similar results. A couple of pull downs early that didn't come tight, one fat 42" fish around 10:00 and one fish that pulled an impressive amount of drag only to get off while removing the rod from the rod holder. Even though the fishing was slow it really was a nice day to be on the water. Did you happen to see the large pod of dolphins swimming up the bay? Pretty common in the summer, but this time of year?
