Default July 5th Annapolis

Had a charter today that I took live lining out of Annapolis. The stiff southerly wind was against the current the entire trip so it made for more difficult fishing. The action was slow at first but got hot and heavy with every rod going down at once at one point and several double headers. The party landed more than their fair share of fish as we were releasing the lip hooked fish and keeping the gut hooked fish. Nothing was huge but a nice summer grade fish at 18"-26".

Because of the gusty winds against the current and swinging on the anchor, I found that keeping the boat in reverse into the wind held me in place best where the fish were biting. They were right off the bottom as only the rods with at least 2 number 2 shots inline where catching. Lighter baits where not getting hit today.
