I called them and called them out on it. They are crediting my account to if I had paid 2.70/gal. They said that is their teaser rate rightnow and offered only to new customers. I asked about loyalty to continuous customers with no answer. She did go on to tell me that they are open 24/7/365 and many other companies are not. My wife paid the bill so I have a credit with them After the next delivery I will be shopping companies.

In order to receive my credit, I now have to take out a year long contract. While I dont want to give them the business after charging me above market rate when I was being a loyal customer, they offered me a flex plan that has a ceiling. I took it with a current market rate of 2.89 and it wont go above 3.09 before feb 1 2011. It can go down though. I have marked it on my calendar and will be more on the ball when the contract is up about shopping rates.

I would have told them to go screw themselves, keep the credit and you'll sign with another company. Just what I would have done. They probably would have relented.
