Default Thursday 5/18 report

Got a break at work so decided to hit the water. Heard some good reports from below the bridge so ran the 30 miles down there. Left boards at the dock. Ran 8 boat rods and had the jigging rods at the ready. Trolled from 1:45- 6pm without a bite. Found some boats and marks in 40-50' of water but no bites for us. Saw a few fish caught when we first got there but then nothing. The marks thinned as the clock ticked by. Frustrated, we came home smelling like a skunk. Trip 5 like trip 2; thank God for trips 1,3, and 4!!!

Well it wasn't for lack of trying. I guess you are saving up all your good mojo for the Casey Cares Tournament

As frustrating as it was, I'm sure everyone had a good time on "Justified"

Sure, any time fishing instead of working is a good time. I probably should have taken the time to downsize to all 6" shads but on last week's trip it didn't matter so I figured it wouldn't this week either. Maybe it didn't, who knows.....
Hindsight is always 20/20.

Noticed a lot of the charters were only running 1 board or no boards so, in my opinion, that's a good sign.

I know they says things happen in threes so I'm going try Sunday morning again to get 3rd skunk outta the way before a buddy comes in from Richmond to fish Tues and Wed. If I get skunked with him, I'm gonna be "patience" alright, a "patient" at a shrink's office!!!

Ps- salt is for margaritas not wounds!
