Thanks for sharing this info. There must be a ton of these fish out there. I heard that they were very tasty fish. I fish the upper Potomac, Fletcher's ,pretty hard in the Spring so maybe I might catch one.........Gary

I am just hoping they over extend themselves and the blue fish, rays, and other top level predators put a significant dent in the population...

Pretty much I am against harming an entire species, but they are not native, and are very destructive...Maybe instead of a ton of freshwater (that helped them extend thier range last year) we get a ton of saltwater and nature does a lot of the extermination through water changes....Get a whole lot of them caught in a bad temp/salinity zone like the spot last year...Would not hurt my feelings one bit...

I'm sensing some new Walleye Pete or Shawn Kimbro light tackle trips coming.

They're supposed to be delicious fish.....I just can't get past how UGLY they are.

The chatterbait used to catch that whopper is the same one that I've won two Largemouth Bass tournaments with. I really need to get on the Potomac more this year. I know Snakeheads and Catfish are considered inferior fish by some, but I know Catfish are delicious, and both fish fight like the devil. Sounds like a win-win deal to me.

My buddy Jason caught a bunch of them last year and one of them was over 10lbs. They maybe ugly but they are a neat looking fish color wise anyway. They will hit anything you throw at them even top water plugs. Thanks for sharing Scott….

I'm kind of in a bind. I won't intentionally kill something unless I eat it, and the DNR requires you to kill any snakeheads you catch.

So........

Anybody have any good recipes?

Just so you know what to expect should you catch one of these rat bastards.....look at the teeth on these things:
