Default COLD NIGHTS...winterize your homes

Its gonna be very cold tonight. If you haven't already done so turn off the inside water valve in your home and bleed the water by leaving your outside spigots open. Burst water pipes are UGLY

Thanks for the reminder Paul. I will go a little more in depth to this process.

Turn the inside valve off to the outdoor faucet.
Go outside and remove any hoses attached and open faucet
Go inside to shut off valve and open the small bleeder valve. This allows air to break the vacuum and let water drain. Many people forget the bleeder valve and this will freeze a pipe but you won't find out until Spring when you turn the water back on..............Gary
