Default This Menhaden Issue Needs To Be Discussed

As usual the CCA and MSSA have gone back on their word.

In the early 2000's when this LY issue became a push by the fishing clubs, they were adamant that they were not interested in the bait fishery. Well the liars are at it again. They now want to include the bait fishery in the push to stop all harvest of LY's.

The option that is being pushed by CCA, Chesapeake Bay Foundation and others is #2..... #2 will end all harvest of Menhaden within the bay. This will seriously affect commercial crab fisherman, hook/line fisherman, charter boat captains and recreational fisherman.

Yes, the reduction industry needs to curtail the taking of Menhaden in the bay, but not at the expense of a lot of other businesses.

A different option or addendum to exclude the bait fishery needs to be introduced into the proposal.
