Finally this landfill has been closed. My prayers are that a bulldozer has a field day on this dump in the very near future. And someone with SMARTS rebuilds the joint with cigarette burn resistant vanities, a contemporary, working plumbing infrastructure and hires some local help that actually turns the vacuum cleaner on.

I will miss that place. It is the only place I have stayed when going to the CBBT. The biggest miss will be the smell of dead fish if you had a room in the back of the place by the dumpsters. One year it got a little warm in Dec making the smell all that much more enjoyable.

Lets now hope Stingrays stays open or I would really cry

Once they put a ban on bringing fish filled coolers into the rooms - IMHO - it went downhill.

One year I stayed there, you had to turn the shower on, go to dinner at Stingrays and the water would just start to warm up when you returned.
