Default 6/18 pm report- Eastern Bay croakers

Went out last evening to try the croaker bite in EB. Launched out of Kent Narrows and ran out towards the mouth of EB. Somewhere between the mouth and Parsons Island we found a hard bottom with 10-17' of water and made a few drifts. We fished from about 7-10pm. Caught 12 croaker from 10-15" (most were 12" or 13"). Best bite was on shrimp leftover from Thursday night's dinner. Hit a few on bloods, and never got around to using the squid. Only caught 1 smaller perch and no spot. First time fishing with my little brother (ChoptankCrabber) and my nephew Jake in a long time.
Back on the trailer by 10:30pm with enough fish to feed my father-in-law for father's day. Nice time spent with family. The sad thing is...last night was the 4th time out for him since the fall of 2008! It is easy to see why work is a 4 letter word- WAAAAY too time consuming. We were really psyched that eythanol didn't spoil our trip. THANKS AGAIN Choptank and Jake!!!

Nice report Jeff. Work does have a way of becoming 'all consuming'. Glad you pick up some nice size croaks....Don

Don- Thanks!

Reverb- I will definitely do that. The only thing soft crab is used for in my house is bait!! I just don't see the pleasure in eating those things.
