5/23 Fishing Report

I wish I could report a trip as good as Steve F!

Went to Hacketts at day light with around a dozen other boats and waisted a chum log without the first hit. With patience running thin we ran up to the bay bridge and jigged with no luck as well. I decided to run south and look for some activity and marked a bunch of fish in 30' and decided to set up another chum slick. We caught 4 fish in a couple of hours between 22" and 28".

I hope to get after them again on Wed!

Has anyone seen any spot in the middle bay yet?

Not a bad day! At least you tried different methods and locations when one wasn't working and got them.............Gary

I think this is a pretty good report. You didn't find fish at your first place, but put fish in the boat after searching. Thanks for the report.

I like your persistence and it paid off. Thanks for the report and you’ll find them next time especially if you go out Wednesday, guys always catch fish on Wednesdays
