Default Fishing Report Saturday 7/17

We started off at Hacketts for some spot and filled the livewell with undersized spot... but at least we had spot! I ran down to Eastern Bay and fished dead between Bloody Point and Poplar Island. We were catching a few drifting then we seen some breaking fish with birds on them. They were moving fast and we set up on them three times before they got away.

All on all we had a good trip. 23 rockfish between 18" - 25" (on circle hooks) and one Bluefish. I wonder how good it would have been if I could have caught some decent sized spot? Oh well.
