I think a few different factors all came into play but bottom line is lack of business.

The slow economy means less people spending money to go fishing.

Add in the horrible storms that muddied the bay , higher BG&E rates , county taxes , bait loss to die off , shop lifters , vandals ( Warren's had a big outdoor freezer hit ) , internet sales of tackle and BPS about 6 miles away - easy to see how a local shop would have trouble.

I've known the Warren family for about 30 years and I know they kept the shop open longer then most could have. Many customers are like family to them.

Sad to hear of this but sad fact of our sport. Less people are fishing - at least locally.
