Default Trolling Sun. 29th

Finally got my boat on the trailer last Friday in all that wind. Left SP this morning about 7 am and headed south. Saw lots of boats between Thomas and Bloody, so we dropped the lines early to try to stay away from the mess. Dropped lines by red 88 in deep water and found lots of bait deep. In 80 ft water, bait was down 70 ft. No way I could reach it so after tempting them for two hrs; I ducked into more shallow water on western shore side. Mark (MLAG) gave me some tips for my spread and in 50-60 ft I could cover more of the water collume (sp). Bait slowly came closer to the surface and we had two rods go down. Boated a nice 38 and a frisky 35. I had an old guy with me (78 yrs) and we had him seated and bringing in the 38. We were 1 mile north of where we hooked them (by gps) by the time he finally boated his fish. We turned around and within 500 ft of our original hookup; another rod goes down. Another 38 in the box. Got this one in quickly and went back through the area and had another rod pulling drag. Had trouble getting rod out of roof rack and after a few moments, he spit the hook (we missed a nice one). Circled back through and picked up a 16 inch fish (what the hell) when I thought we may have snagged an alwives. Made one last pass through the same spot and a deep dipsey diver goes down hard. Fought this one for a few seconds and he gets off also (when they say barbless hooks, did that mean I was supposed to grind off the points of my hooks?). Every one was happy with the three in the box so we pulled lines and headed home. We were right across from the radio towers (Severn) in 60 ft. Lots of bait and fish. Go get em. 5th (Marty)

Marty did Mark tell you about our adventure with the 1st fish on Sunday. The guy on my boat gets his Jacket tangled in the release lever lol that reel had the biggest birds nest I ever saw. He had to pull in a 40+ by hand lol
