I like to look at the reports to see "what" people are catching, but not location. As others have said, they usually don't give true info and I don't blame them. I didn't have to fish below the bridge this year (yet) and have had one of the best seasons in years. I did MUCH better than my friends that took their boats south this year, it was a nice change of pace.

But, I enjoy good reports. Especially with a bit of humor!

i, too, like to read the reports to get a general idea of what is going on.
i don't get out every weekend and, as you know, just a few days off the Bay and the fish can move quite a bit making them harder to find.
i also realize that much of the posted info is unfounded unless it comes from some one i'm familair with.

i trailer my boat and can put in anywhere from Dundee, to Turners, to Sandt Pt to Kent Narrows on any day.
i use the reports to get an idea of my launch location and then use personal conatcts or personal experience to actually pick my spots for the day.

I read the reports from my area for local info, since I am restricted because I can not trailer and read the others for fun. Definately give more credence to some peoples reports than others.

I do look for some signs that certain fish are hitting like a run of flounder or spanish macs that are some where close to the area from the bridge to Poplar Island to know if it is worth making a long run south.

I try and get info like what they are hitting on in my section of the bay, as in size, type and depth of lures, whether LTJ or trolling seems to be better at the time, and maybe a general area to try. Sometimes I just read something I never thought of trying and may change my spread or techique if it sounds like it will work.

Also have my favorite places to go at different times of the years and sometimes ignore the reports and just use what has worked in the past.
