Default Togging In Chinco....

Well lookey here, an actual god damn fishing report !!!!!

Spent Sunday sloshing around a wreck about 10 miles offshore from Chinco, dunking green crabs, and we were rewarded very nicely....

After three hours and our limit, we sloshed around some more looking for a striper bite. Couple of birds here, couple there, all doing the same damn thing we were.. North wind was beating the **** out of us, and we called it a day...

Great to spend time with my buddies, its been way too long...

And yes, it was as cold as a witches ***.....

Congrats on getting out, and getting on them so easily.

My buddy Andy fishes out of Chinco a lot. Aside from the fishing, is there much else to do down there? I looked at it on Googlemaps and it looks like there's some bars , restaurants and the like.........

I love Chincoteague. Have been going there for the last 15 years as an alternative to Ocean City, which as I get older I just can;t take anymore.

Its far less crowded, much more reasonable priced, and more laid back.

My wife of 13 years loves to fish, as long as I bait and unhook the fish. Shes also crowd shy. So its a perfect fit. We have found a beautiful B and B which is above and beyond any B and B you will ever find on the East Coast. So we often stay there and commute to Wachapreague to rent a skiff and catch the high and falling tides. Back to B and B by 7, and out to dinner we go.

Bar wise, not a whole bunch but there are a few on the water that are decent.

We tend to sit on our deck overlooking the island and just absorb the sights. Off to the hot tub or heated pool, and then into the Jacuzzi within our room.

Whats not to like ??

I do miss fishing the local waters of Chinco, but all the Marinas are either out of business, or have ceased boat rental operations.

One word of caution, the Police LOVE their radar, and love to ticket you. Speed limits are often LOW, (by city standards) and they are just waiting for you, so take it easy....

Sounds like my kind of place. My wife doesnt fish, but I bet we could plan one of our normal "couples" trips there where the fellas go fishing and the girls do whatever it is they do while we arw fishing.

Ive heard the same thimg about the local cops from someone else.
